I always imagine the genderbents (except Cake and Jake) as siblings or cousins, as in, Bubba and Peebles are sibs, Finn and Fionna are sibs, and Marcy and Marsh are sibs. It makes pairing them off so much more fun, really. :)))
(Fubblegum, Gumceline, Fiolee. ’Nuff said.)
(I ship Gumceline as the het alternative to the canon Bubbline. Also, because Marcy seems to be the type to playfully hit on a friend’s older brother.)

Autostraddle on AT's "Bubbline" Censoring
The ship is not my cup of tea (No hate for gay people; I just prefer het pairings because I can relate to them, so please don’t flame me to death!), but I won’t deny that there are hints. However, while I’m not in denial, to give my mind a break and keep it believing this is kids’ TV, I’ll pretend I’m seven and just read it as a close friendship that went awry (because if I turn off the part of my brain that can read subtext, I could see it that way).

So…
Today I met a new friend at my mom’s “merienda” (the Filipino equivalent of having “tea time”) business meeting. Like me, she’s a daughter who tags along when her parental unit has to go around town and do work and stuff. We started talking, and after getting to a rocky start (she’s an avid Directioner, and I’m not, though I like a few 1D songs), we finally found something we both loved: Adventure Time.
I asked her what her favorite character was. She said it was Finn. I agreed, but said he was only my second favorite. ”Thought so,” she said, “Yours is probably Marceline. You look like a Marceline person.”
Can I just say that made me REALLY happy? (YES. I AM A MARCELINE PERSON. WITHOUT A DOUBT.)
